Blue Swimmer Crab
Available wild-caught (though there are some aquaculture trials for Soft Shell Crabs in Queensland), it is a coastal marine dweller found mainly in bays, estuaries and intertidal areas up to about 60m, most commonly on muddy or sandy bottoms but also on rubble, seagrass and seaweed. Found around most of the Australian coast, 50% of the commercial catch is from southern Queensland with the remainder mostly from central NSW, SA and WA north to Shark Bay. Caught in traps, dillies and entangling devices, and as a bycatch of trawling.
To Store
Wrap in plastic wrap or foil and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months below -18ºC. Picked Crab meat can be stored in the same way.
To Cook
They have a sweet, delicate meat and are perfect to eat fresh with a squeeze of lemon. The crabs are normally a light to deep orange in colour with a flakey meat full of healthy goodness. Cook blue swimmer on the BBQ or try chilli blue swimmer for a bit of a kick.

Store pickup is available for Sydney Metro area. Pickup location: Shop 3, 6 Galloway Street, Mascot, NSW 2020. For best quality, please contact Fish Moments staff before your trip started.
An email will be sent to you when we receive your order and when your order is ready for pickup. If you choose store pickup, do not start your trip to our store until receiving our pickup-ready notification email.

Delivery Progress & Legals
We are trying our best to offer you the best quality fresh food, however, we are not permitted to check the receiver’s ID when delivering by law. We only ensure that we deliver to the address provided.
Fresh food is treated as perishables and all items to be delivered is ATL (Authority to leave). We understand that ATL is not an option for some customers, therefore please ensure there will be somebody at your premises to sign the delivery package.
Failed deliveries (where ATL is not possible, or incorrect delivery address, or other seasons we cannot deliver your order) will be returned to our store. You must contact to arrange a redelivery request and a redelivery fee may occur.
While we always strive to ensure on-time delivery, there might be instances when the package may be delivered past the confirmed date. Fish Moments shall not be liable to any person if we decline to supply the product(s) for any reason whatsoever. We reserve the right to decline orders without disclosing the reason behind that action.
Please note that the delivery fees quoted on our website are based on the most economical shipment methods, we reserve the right to adjust the delivery fees at any time for your purchase orders should the lowest rate or courier method becomes unable. We are not liable for any losses or delays if we can’t reach you through the phone number or email address you provided when placing the order.
If the customer received a free gift as part of a promotion and the product or portion of the product is returned for any reason (unless it was a faulty or defective product) the free gift must be returned along with the unwanted product. Free gifts cannot be returned for refund or exchange and have no cash value of their own.
The liability of Fish Moments for any loss, damage, or injury arising directly or indirectly from one of our products for non-compliance of any of our products or for any other reason shall not in the event exceed the amount equivalent to the price of the product.
We have the right to change its policy relating to the return and refund of products at any time without notice.
